Brother's Surprise 30th!

the party was at the kerbel farm in cleburne, and we set up all the decor on the party porch!


shelly made the cake and we ordered 'real man of genius' m&m's-theme of the party with the video including the bud light 'real men of genius' commercials to pics of matt-hilarious

matt walking in on the surprise! he was totally snowed-no clue!

there were a total of about 50 people! and no one got lost-amazing!

carson as a pirate, the guys/party went down into the hay field to shoot targets and skeet with their cool guns while the girls prepared dinner.

the party don't stop...late into the night and g-g was holding strong!

so i forgot to put the sheets in the dryer, and now i am waiting and thought i would write a few words about what i have learned about myself in the last few years...here goes!

1. i am a germ-a-phobe! the thought of the mall playground during the winter makes me cringe! i am a bad speller too-is phobe right? (kristen you will know)
2. i can't pick out a banana bunch in less than 10 minutes-i look at every.single.one! i even pump myself up as i approach the stand, and i tell myself each time to 'pick and go'- pick and go!!! but i can't help but think i am missing out on the perfect bunch! even now, i can't stop talking about it!

3. i HATE capitalizing when i type-can you tell? it slows me down. i'm sure it's annoying to others
4. i miss playing soccer (and basketball!)-i love coaching, but there is nothing like playing/sweating in a good competitive game.
5. getting ready in the morning is a luxury
6. i still feel like i am in college-especially when i got asked if i babysat by a fellow mom at carson's school-she thought i was the nanny. is that good, or bad?
7. i love friends-yes, all you!
8.i understand how they coined the phrase 'stay at home mom look'-we were walking out of target (it's like a field trip to me), and carson was grabbing on to my shirt, which is normal, but he was hanging on by a hole in my shirt and a hole in my shorts, and when i looked down to see how bad it was, i realized that kindle had rubbed her nose on my shoulder and left a pretty nasty scene there! i hadn't washed my hair, and...there you go! stay at home mom!

2. How long have you been married? almost 6 years-wow! it really has gone by fast. i feel as though we are just now getting into the grove of marriage.

10. Whose temper is worse? my fuse is shorter (i have only seen kit mad a few times)

12. Who takes out the trash? Me most of the time b/c kit forgets

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me so i can get to the kids faster

15. Who is better with the computer? KIT-that's his job

16. Who mows the lawn? ME:) i love outside work

17. Who cooks dinner? Me-I like to cook, but love to eat out b/c there is no mess to clean up!

18. Who drives when you are together? kit, although I am a better pre-planner (we call it p-p..."babe, you need to p-p" as in, get in the right hand lane BEFORE your exit is a foot away:)

20. Who is more stubborn? we both are on certain things

21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? both-we have really worked on communicating and saying sorry when we are wrong

22. Whose parents do you see the most? both about the same usually

23. Who kissed who first? I did b/c kit was chicken!!!

24. Who asked who out? kit, but i stood him up (on valentines day-oops!)

25. Who proposed? kit-during 2-a-days at baylor!!

28. Who has more siblings? Me 1brother and 1sister. he has 1 brother

29. Who wears the pants in the family? kit-thank goodness! i love that he is the man!

30. Who is the biggest pushover with the kids? me! although we are both old school with the discipline. Shepherding a Child's heart is a great book on parenting!
