we had to get rid of our climbing tree b/c it was dead, so we decided to make a pit where it was and use the limbs for a camp fire . we are country folk who just happen to live in the city, but pretending that we are in the country! college station is not really a big city, but we are longing for some land to have these kind of camp fires etc.!!! carson was having so much fun, and he got to have marshmallows too!
like i said earlier, we want to pretend we are in the country-that's a street light, not the moon...
i always accidentally catch the marshmallows on fire?! not very good at it, but still fun!

carson wanted to call papa for a good campfire story! i don't quite tell them the same!!!!
the boys are sleeping out in a tent after the fire goes out, kit managed to get 2 twin matresses in there! not too bad!

cute! It looks like y'all had so much fun! I have to admit I did wonder if that was some type of code/law violation... but it looks small and fun still! :)
only matt would think of that-it was funny b/c kit has made fires his whole life, so when the smoke started, we thought...someone is going to call the fire dept. we didn't even think about it! ha! oh well, it was about 1 ft in diameter:) carson was gitty, and said 'dad-let's do this everynight!' too bad we will have to cover it up with grass soon:)

I just wanted to send a quick note! We had such a good time talking with you guys at the dinner! :) We will have to get our families together sometime! Dallas has been thinking more and more about Kit's "opportunity"!!! So I am glad that he brought it up!
